Dear Rugby Parents,
It has been a long 3 months without rugby! But we are finally getting the clearance from both the State and Rugby Colorado to start heading back out onto the pitch (you can see the statement HERE from Rugby Colorado attached regarding our current Return To Play protocols).
With this positive news, we are working to create systems and strategies for Glendale Youth Rugby to ensure we can play as safely as possible while mitigating the risks of Covid-19. This will mean we will have to have different protocols in place for how we operate than we have historically and we request your patience as we work to get those in place.
As part of our planning on how to reintegrate rugby into our lives, we want to reach out to you and determine what types of activities are desired and/or your family would want to participate in, so we can plan more effectively for what our families want. For example, we do not normally hold summer programming beyond Try League and Summer Flag, but we are exploring ways to add in summer day camp options in July because of the number of parents who have expressed interest in those offerings.
In light of that, we ask that you please fill out this brief survey around your interest: SURVEY HERE
Knowing what our families want and will feel safe participating in will help influence the direction that we go. Please note that while the survey includes ‘CONTACT’ choices, that is just so we can be informed about wants/needs because we are not in the phase of USA Rugby’s Return to Play where tackle rugby is an option at this point in time.
As always if you have questions please direct them to Jamie Burke jburke@glendale.co.us and do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
