This co-ed, non-contact winter indoor program lets players spend Saturday mornings practicing basic rugby skills. All games and drills will focus on running, catching, passing, kicking, and conditioning in preparation for upcoming spring sports. February   4, 11, 18, & 25, 2023.

Winter Indoor Rugby

This program is for current Kindergarten through 8th graders, cost $65 per player and will take place at the Glendale Sports Center gymnasium (4500 E Kentucky Ave, Glendale, CO 80246).

Practice is on Saturdays February  4, 11, 18, & 25th and time varies by age group.

  • Ages 5-7 will play non-contact flag rugby focusing on running, catching, passing and kicking from 8:30-9:30am.
  • Ages 8-10 will play non-contact rugby focusing on rugby skills, passing, catching, kicking and conditioning from 9:45-11:00am.
  • Ages 11-14 will play non-contact rugby focusing on rugby skills, passing, catching, kicking and conditioning from 11:15-12:30pm.

Fees

Cost of the Winter Indoor Program is $65 per youth.

*Only registrations completed before January 30 will  guarantee a program T-shirt

COVID-19  STATEMENT

Glendale Youth Rugby will be following the recommended guidelines of Arapahoe County for Covid-19 management. There will be regular sanitization  and other mitigation strategies.  

All families will need to sign a Covid-19 waiver as part of the registration process.

Glendale Youth Rugby operates under the allowable Arapahoe County guidelines and restrictions, as well as Rugby Colorado Return to Play Guidelines (https://rugbycolorado.org/covid-19-return-to-play-guidelines).

Per Rugby Colorado Guidelines, it is recommended that all participants  have one parent/guardian who has completed the World Rugby Covid-19 Player training (https://playerwelfare.worldrugby.org/covid-19-courses) prior to participation. )

Any requirements in place through Arapahoe County will be enforced and any adjustments will be made to requirements as new guidance is issued.
